“The Occult lore Calendar and Eccentric's Fashion Celebration"

This 12 month wall calendar for 2009-2010 features photos of 12 man and woman cancer survivors revealing each survivor’s personal experience with cancer. Cancer survivors featured in this calendar includes men and women around the tri-state who are cancer survivors.

About the Project: A message from Ben Walker II

I created this life-affirming cancer survivor calendar to raise awareness of cancer survivors and their caregivers, to promote greater participation in Pampering the Spirit of Cancer survivors, their caregivers, and to strengthen the “CheckYourself: movement locally, nationally and internationally. It is the hope of all of us survivors that our message will bring encouragement to other women/men who may be dealing with insecurities about their body.

Our research has found that taking care of the inner you is far more important than we once thought. If we learn how to play, feel loved, and feel sexy, we are half way there. Unfortunately, we lose these feelings the minute we are told we have breast cancer or any other cancer.
